It’s a unique cave known for its stunning stalactites and stalagmites. The cave got its name due to the reflection of the sunlight on the cave walls that create a mirror-like effect. Explore the cave’s chambers and enjoy the fascinating play of light and shadows.
After exploring Mirror Stone Cave, head to Melo Village, which is about a 30-minute drive from Labuan Bajo. Melo is a traditional Manggarai village where you can experience the local culture and interact with the friendly inhabitants. You can witness traditional dances and rituals, see the unique architecture of their houses, and maybe even join in some local activities. Don’t forget to taste traditional dishes, and if you’re interested, you can purchase some local handicrafts as souvenirs.
After Melo Village, continue your journey to Rangko Cave, which is around an hour and half drive from Melo. Rangko Cave is a hidden gem with a saltwater natural pool inside it, offering a surreal and refreshing swimming experience. You’ll need to rent a boat to access the cave and then swim in natural pool. The crystal-clear waters and the unique cave environment make it a memorable stop on your tour.
And then to wrap up your city tour, make your way to Bukit Silvia, a scenic viewpoint located about 15 minutes from Labuan Bajo town. And then once you arrive, you will hike about 5 mins to the top. From this vantage point, you’ll be treated to panoramic views of the surrounding islands, the harbor, and the beautiful landscapes of Labuan Bajo. It’s an excellent spot for taking photos and enjoying the sunset
